21 See the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord our God hath spoken to thy fathers: fear not, nor be any way discouraged.

Deuteronomy 1:21

Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee
The land of Canaan, on the borders of which they then were; (See Gill on Deuteronomy 1:8),

go up;
the mountain, by that way of it which was the way the spies went, and up to which some of the Israelites presumed to go when forbidden, they not complying with the call of God:

and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee;
as in ( Deuteronomy 1:8 ) ,

fear not, neither be discouraged;
though the people of the land were numerous and strong, and their cities large and walled.

19 And departing from Horeb, we passed through the terrible and vast wilderness, which you saw, by the way of the mountain of the Amorrhite, as the Lord our God had commanded us. And when we were come into Cadesbarne,
20 I said to you: You are come to the mountain of the Amorrhite, which the Lord our God will give to us.
