He turned about to the west side And took the dimensions of that, from angle to angle, the south and north points of it: and measured five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed; and it was exactly of the same measure with the other three sides.

And he measured toward the north five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.

By the four winds he measured the wall thereof on every side round about, five hundred cubits and five hundred cubits broad, making a separation between the sanctuary and the place of the people.
