Genesis 5:7

7 Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters.

Genesis 5:7 Meaning and Commentary

Genesis 5:7

And Seth lived, after he begat Enos, eight hundred and
seven years
The Septuagint version makes the same mistake in the numbers of Seth as of Adam, giving him two hundred and five years before the birth of Enos, and but seven hundred and seven years after: and begat sons and daughters;
very probably both before and after Enos was born; but how many is not said.

Genesis 5:7 In-Context

5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
6 When Seth had lived a hundred and five years, he became the father of Enosh.
7 Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and had other sons and daughters.
8 Thus all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 When Enosh had lived ninety years, he became the father of Kenan.
