48 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ · Θυγάτηρ, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε · πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην.

Luke 8:48

And he said unto her, daughter
Instead of frowning upon her, and chiding her for what she had done, he addressed her in a very affable and affectionate manner; bidding her

be of good comfort;
and not be afraid; this clause is left out in the Vulgate Latin version, as in ( Mark 5:34 ) but is in the copies, and other versions:

thy faith hath made thee whole, go peace;

46 ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν · Ἥψατό μού τις, ἐγὼ γὰρ ἔγνων δύναμιν ἐξεληλυθυῖαν ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ.
47 ἰδοῦσα δὲ ἡ γυνὴ ὅτι οὐκ ἔλαθεν τρέμουσα ἦλθεν καὶ προσπεσοῦσα αὐτῷ δι’ ἣν αἰτίαν ἥψατο αὐτοῦ ἀπήγγειλεν ἐνώπιον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ ὡς ἰάθη παραχρῆμα.
48 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ · Θυγάτηρ, ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε · πορεύου εἰς εἰρήνην.
49 Ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἔρχεταί τις παρὰ τοῦ ἀρχισυναγώγου λέγων ὅτι Τέθνηκεν ἡ θυγάτηρ σου, μηκέτι σκύλλε τὸν διδάσκαλον.
50 ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἀκούσας ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ · Μὴ φοβοῦ, μόνον πίστευσον, καὶ σωθήσεται.
