18 1"You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in 2the month Abib, for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

Exodus 34:18

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep
Which was instituted at the time of their coming out of Egypt, and on that account, and then observed, ( Exodus 12:15 Exodus 12:18 Exodus 12:19 ) ( Exodus 13:6 Exodus 13:7 ) and afterwards repeated, and the month expressed in which they were to keep it, and the reason of it, as it here follows, (See Gill on Exodus 13:15).

19 All that open the womb are mine, all your male livestock, the firstborn of cow and sheep.
20 The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before me empty-handed.
