12 Entonces le acometeremos en cualquier lugar que pudiere hallarse, y daremos sobre él como cuando el rocío cae sobre la tierra, y ni uno dejaremos de él, y de todos los que con él están.

2 Samuel 17:12

So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be
found
For such a numerous army, which would be spread abroad, could not well fail of finding him out, let him be in what lurking place he would; whereas he might lie concealed, and escape so small a number as twelve thousand men:

and we will light upon him as the dew falleth upon the ground;
whose drops are innumerable, and cover all the ground where they fall; and the phrase not only expresses their numbers, but the irresistible force they should come with, and the manner, secretly, unawares, opportunely; the Romans had a sort of soldiers, called from the dew "rorarii", who carried light armour, and fought first in the battle, from whence they had their name, because dew falls before it rains ^F14:

and of him, and of all the men that [are] with him, there shall not be
left so much as one;
so that for the future Absalom would sit easy upon the throne, there being none left to molest him.

10 Así aun el hombre valiente, cuyo corazón sea como corazón de león, sin duda desmayará; porque todo Israel sabe que tu padre es hombre valiente, y que los que están con él son esforzados.

11 Mas yo aconsejo que todo Israel se junte a ti, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, que será en multitud como la arena que está a la orilla del mar, y que tú en persona vayas a la batalla.

12 Entonces le acometeremos en cualquier lugar que pudiere hallarse, y daremos sobre él como cuando el rocío cae sobre la tierra, y ni uno dejaremos de él, y de todos los que con él están.

13 Y si se recogiere en alguna ciudad, todos los de Israel traerán sogas a aquella ciudad, y la arrastraremos hasta el arroyo, que nunca más parezca piedra de ella.

14 Entonces Absalón y todos los de Israel dijeron: El consejo de Husai araquita es mejor que el consejo de Ahitofel. Porque el SEÑOR había mandado que el acertado consejo de Ahitofel fuese disipado, para que el SEÑOR hiciese venir el mal sobre Absalón.
