32 Pregunta, pues, ahora de los tiempos pasados, que han sido antes de ti, desde el día que creó Dios al hombre sobre la tierra, y desde un extremo del cielo al otro, si se ha hecho cosa semejante a esta gran cosa, o se haya oído otra como ella.

Deuteronomy 4:32

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee,
&c.] Inquire into and consult the annals of former times, of ages past:

since the day that God created man upon the earth;
trace them quite up to the creation of the world, and men in it:

and [ask] from the one side of heaven to the other;
traverse the whole globe, and examine the records of every nation in it in both hemispheres:

whether there hath been any such [thing] as this great thing is, or
hath been heard like it?
whether they can give any account of anything seen, heard, or done like what follows; suggesting that they cannot furnish out an instance to be mentioned with it.

30 Cuando estuviereis en angustia, y te alcanzaren todas estas cosas, si en los postreros días te volvieres al SEÑOR tu Dios, y oyeres su voz;

31 porque Dios misericordioso es el SEÑOR tu Dios; no te dejará, ni te destruirá, ni se olvidará del pacto de tus padres que les juró.

32 Pregunta, pues, ahora de los tiempos pasados, que han sido antes de ti, desde el día que creó Dios al hombre sobre la tierra, y desde un extremo del cielo al otro, si se ha hecho cosa semejante a esta gran cosa, o se haya oído otra como ella.

33 ¿Ha oído pueblo alguno la voz de Dios, que hablase de en medio del fuego, como tú la has oído, y vivido?

34 ¿O ha Dios probado a venir a tomar para sí nación de en medio de otra nación, con pruebas, con señales, con milagros, y con guerra, y mano fuerte, y brazo extendido, y grandes espantos, según todas las cosas que hizo con vosotros el SEÑOR vuestro Dios en Egipto ante tus ojos?
