until I make your enemies your footstool.'

Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that
1God has made him
2both Lord and Christ, this Jesus
3whom you crucified."

Now when
4they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers,
5what shall we do?"

And Peter said to them,
6"Repent and
7be baptized every one of you
8in the name of Jesus Christ
9for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive
10the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For
11the promise is for you and
12for your children and for all
13who are far off, everyone
14whom the Lord our God calls to himself."

And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying,
15"Save yourselves from this
16crooked generation."

So those who received his word were baptized, and
17there were added that day about three thousand souls.
The Fellowship of the Believers
42 And
18they devoted themselves to the apostles'
19teaching and the
20fellowship, to
21the breaking of bread and the prayers.

And awe came upon every soul, and
22many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.

And all who believed were together and
23had all things in common.

And
24they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
