And He said to them, "Nodoubt you will quotethisproverb to Me, 'Physician, healyourself! Whatever we heard was done1at Capernaum, dohere in 2your hometown as well.' "

And He said, "Truly I say to you, 3noprophet is welcome in his hometown.

"But I say to you in truth, there were manywidows in Israel4in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for threeyears and sixmonths, when a greatfaminecameoverall the land;

and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but 5only* to Zarephath, in the land of 6Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
27
"And there were manylepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, but 7only*Naaman the Syrian."

And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heardthesethings;

and they got up and 8drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff.
