13 Vá perguntar ao rei Davi: Ó rei, meu senhor, não juraste a esta tua serva, prometendo: ‘Pode estar certa de que o seu filho Salomão me sucederá como rei, e se assentará no meu trono’? Por que foi, então, que Adonias se tornou rei?
13 Go in to King David and say to him, ‘My lord the king, did you not swear to me your servant: “Surely Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne”? Why then has Adonijah become king?’
