3 Ook kwamen alle oudsten in Israel tot den koning van Hebron, en David maakte een verbond met hen te Hebron, voor het aangezicht des HEEREN; en zij zalfden David ten koning over Israel, naar het woord des HEEREN, door den dienst van Samuel.
3 When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, he made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel, as the LORD had promised through Samuel.
