1 Suǒyǐ nǐmen jì chú qù yīqiè de èdú ( huò zuò yīn dú ) , guǐzhà , bìng jiǎ shàn , jídù , hé yīqiè huǐbàng de huà ,
1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.
2 Jiù yào aì mù nà chún jìng de líng nǎi , xiàng cái shēng de yīnghái aì mù nǎi yíyàng , jiào nǐmen yīncǐ jiàn zhǎng , yǐzhì déjiù .
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
3 Nǐmen ruò cháng guo zhǔ ēn de zīwèi , jiù bì rúcǐ
3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
4 Zhǔ nǎi huó shí . gùrán shì beì rén suǒ qì de , què shì beì shén suǒ jiǎnxuǎn suǒ bǎoguì de .
4 As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—
5 Nǐmen lái dào zhǔ miànqián , yĕ jiù xiàng huó shí , beì jiànzào chéngwéi líng gōng , zuò shèngjié de jìsī , jiè zhe Yēsū Jīdū fèng xiàn shén suǒ yuènà de líng jì .
5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
6 Yīnwei jīng shang shuō , kàn nǎ , wǒ bǎ suǒ jiǎnxuǎn suǒ bǎoguì de fáng jiǎo shí , ānfàng zaì Xī \'ān . xìn kào tāde rén , bì búzhìyú xiūkuì .
6 For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
7 Suǒyǐ tā zaì nǐmen xìn de rén jiù wéi bǎoguì , zaì nà bú xìn de rén yǒu huà shuō , jiàngrén suǒ qì de shítou , yǐ zuò le fáng jiǎo de tóu kuaì shítou .
7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
8 Yòu shuō , zuò le bàn jiǎo de shítou , diē rén de pánshí . tāmen jì bú shùncóng , jiù zaì dàolǐ shang bàn diē . ( huò zuò tāmen bàn diē dōu yīn bú shùncóng dàolǐ ) tāmen zhèyàng bàn diē yĕ shì yùdéng de .
8 and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.”They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
9 Wéiyǒu nǐmen shì beì jiǎnxuǎn de zú leì , shì yǒu jūn zūn de jìsī , shì shèngjié de guódù , shì shǔ shén de zǐmín , yào jiào nǐmen xuānyáng nà zhào nǐmen chū hēiàn rù qímiào guāngmíng zhĕ de mĕidé .
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
10 Nǐmen cóng qián suàn bùdé zǐmín , xiànzaì què zuò le shén de zǐmín . cóng qián wèicéng méng liánxù , xiànzaì què méng le liánxù .
10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
11 Qīnaì de dìxiōng a nǐmen shì kèlǚ , shì jìjū de . wǒ quàn nǐmen yào jìn jiè ròutǐ de sīyù . zhè sīyù shì yǔ línghún zhēng zhàn de .
11 Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.
12 Nǐmen zaì waìbāngrén zhōng , yīngdāng pǐn xíng duānzhèng , jiào nàxiē huǐbàng nǐmen shì zuò è de , yīn kànjian nǐmen de hǎo xíngwéi , biàn zaì jiàn chá de rìzi ( jiàn chá huò zuò juàngù ) , guī róngyào gĕi shén .
12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
13 Nǐmen wèi zhǔ de yuángù , yào shùnfú rén de yīqiè zhì dù , huò shì zaì shàng de jūnwáng ,
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority,
14 Huò shì jūnwáng suǒ paì fá è shǎng shàn de chénzǎi .
14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.
15 Yīnwei shén de zhǐyì yuán shì yào nǐmen xíng shàn , kĕyǐ dǔ zhù nà hú tú wúzhī rén de kǒu .
15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
16 Nǐmen suī shì zìyóu de , què bùkĕ jiè zhe zìyóu zhēgaì èdú ( huò zuò yīn dú ) , zǒng yào zuò shén de púrén .
16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
17 Wù yào zūnjìng zhòngrén . qīnaì jiào zhōng de dìxiōng . jìngwèi shén . zūnjìng jūnwáng .
17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
18 Nǐmen zuò púrén de , fán shì yào cún jìngwèi de xīn shùnfú zhǔrén . búdàn shùnfú nà shànliáng wēnhé de , jiù shì nà guāi pì de yĕ yào shùnfú .
18 Slaves, in reverent fear of God submit yourselves to your masters, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
19 Tǎngruò rén wèi jiào liángxīn duì de zhù shén , jiù rĕnshòu yuān qū de kǔchǔ , zhè shì kĕ xǐaì de .
19 For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.
20 Nǐmen ruò yīn fàn zuì shòu zé dá , néng rĕnnaì , yǒu shénme kĕ kuā de ne . dàn nǐmen ruò yīn xíng shàn shòu kǔ , ruò néng rĕnnaì , zhè zaì shén kàn shì kĕ xǐaì de .
20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.
21 Nǐmen méng ēn yuán shì wèicǐ . yīn Jīdū yĕ wèi nǐmen shòu guo kǔ , gĕi nǐmen liú xià bǎngyàng , jiào nǐmen gēnsuí tāde jiǎo zōng xíng .
21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
22 Tā bìng méiyǒu fàn zuì , kǒu lǐ yĕ méiyǒu guǐzhà .
22 “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
23 Tā beì mà bù huánkǒu . shòu haì bù shuō wēi hè de huà . zhǐ jiāng zìjǐ jiāo tuō nà àn gōngyì shĕnpàn rén de zhǔ .
23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
24 Tā beì guà zaì mùtou shang qīn shēn dāndāng le wǒmen de zuì , shǐ wǒmen jìrán zaì zuì shang sǐ , jiù déyǐ zaì yì shang huó . yīn tā shòu de biān shāng , nǐmen biàn dé yīzhì .
24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
25 Nǐmen cóng qián hǎoxiàng mí lù de yáng . rújīn què guī dào nǐmen línghún de mùrén jiāndū le .
25 For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
