4 And all Israel heard it said <em>that</em> Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines and also <em>that</em> Israel had become a stench unto the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
4 So all Israel heard the news: “Saul has attacked the Philistine outpost, and now Israel has become obnoxious to the Philistines.” And the people were summoned to join Saul at Gilgal.
