1 Corinthians 15:1-11

CEB 1 Brothers and sisters, I want to call your attention to the good news that I preached to you, which you also received and in which you stand. NRS 1 Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, CEB 2 You are being saved through it if you hold on to the message I preached to you, unless somehow you believed it for nothing. NRS 2 through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain. CEB 3 I passed on to you as most important what I also received: Christ died for our sins in line with the scriptures, NRS 3 For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, CEB 4 he was buried, and he rose on the third day in line with the scriptures. NRS 4 and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, CEB 5 He appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve, NRS 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. CEB 6 and then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at once—most of them are still alive to this day, though some have died. NRS 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. CEB 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, NRS 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. CEB 8 and last of all he appeared to me, as if I were born at the wrong time. NRS 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. CEB 9 I'm the least important of the apostles. I don't deserve to be called an apostle, because I harassed God's church. NRS 9 For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. CEB 10 I am what I am by God's grace, and God's grace hasn't been for nothing. In fact, I have worked harder than all the others—that is, it wasn't me but the grace of God that is with me. NRS 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me has not been in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them—though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. CEB 11 So then, whether you heard the message from me or them, this is what we preach and this is what you have believed. NRS 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we proclaim and so you have come to believe.
