1 Corinthians 6:9-17

NRS 9 Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, NIV 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men NRS 10 thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. NIV 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. NRS 11 And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. NIV 11 And that is what some of you were. NRS 12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are beneficial. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be dominated by anything. NRS 13 "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food," and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is meant not for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. NIV 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. NRS 14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power. NIV 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. NRS 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! NIV 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! NRS 16 Do you not know that whoever is united to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For it is said, "The two shall be one flesh." NIV 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” NRS 17 But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. NIV 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
