1 Dàwèi wèn shuō , Sǎoluó jiā hái yǒu shèngxia de rén méiyǒu . wǒ yào yīn Yuēnádān de yuángù xiàng Tāshī ēn .
1 David asked, “Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”
2 Sǎoluó jiā yǒu yī gè púrén , míng jiào xǐ bā , yǒu rén jiào tā lái jiàn Dàwèi , wáng wèn tā shuō , nǐ shì xǐ bā ma . huídá shuō , púrén shì .
2 Now there was a servant of Saul’s household named Ziba. They summoned him to appear before David, and the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” “At your service,” he replied.
3 Wáng shuō , Sǎoluó jiā hái yǒu rén méiyǒu . wǒ yào zhào shén de cíaì ēn dāi tā . xǐ bā duì wáng shuō , hái yǒu Yuēnádān de yī gè érzi , shì quètuǐ de .
3 The king asked, “Is there no one still alive from the house of Saul to whom I can show God’s kindness?” Ziba answered the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan; he is lame in both feet.”
4 Wáng shuō , tā zaì nǎli . xǐ bā duì wáng shuō , tā zaì luó dǐ bā , yà Mǐlì de érzi Machir jiā lǐ .
4 “Where is he?” the king asked. Ziba answered, “He is at the house of Makir son of Ammiel in Lo Debar.”
5 Yúshì Dàwèi wáng dǎfa rén qù , cóng luó dǐ bā yà Mǐlì de érzi Machir jiā lǐ zhào le tā lái .
5 So King David had him brought from Lo Debar, from the house of Makir son of Ammiel.
6 Sǎoluó de sūnzi , Yuēnádān de érzi mǐ fēi bō shè lái jiàn Dàwèi , fú dì kòu baì . Dàwèi shuō , mǐ fēi bō shè . mǐ fēi bō shè shuō , púrén zaì cǐ .
6 When Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor. David said, “Mephibosheth!” “At your service,” he replied.
7 Dàwèi shuō , nǐ búyào jùpà , wǒ bì yīn nǐ fùqin Yuēnádān de yuángù shī ēn yǔ nǐ , jiāng nǐ zǔ fù Sǎoluó de yīqiè tiándì dōu guī hái nǐ . nǐ yĕ kĕyǐ cháng yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn .
7 “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”
8 Mǐ fēi bō shè yòu kòu baì , shuō , púrén suàn shénme , bú guō rú sǐ gǒu yìbān , jìng méng wáng zhèyàng juàngù .
8 Mephibosheth bowed down and said, “What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?”
9 Wáng zhào le Sǎoluó de púrén xǐ bā lái , duì tā shuō , wǒ yǐ jiāng shǔ Sǎoluó hé tāde yīqiè jiā chǎn dōu cìgĕi nǐ zhǔrén de érzi le .
9 Then the king summoned Ziba, Saul’s steward, and said to him, “I have given your master’s grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family.
10 Nǐ hé nǐde zhòng zǐ , púrén yào wèi nǐ zhǔrén de érzi mǐ fēi bō shè gēngzhòng tiándì , bǎ suǒ chǎn de ná lái gòng tā shí yòng . tā què yào cháng yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn . xǐ bā yǒu shí wǔ gè érzi , èr shí gè púrén .
10 You and your sons and your servants are to farm the land for him and bring in the crops, so that your master’s grandson may be provided for. And Mephibosheth, grandson of your master, will always eat at my table.” (Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.)
11 Xǐ bā duì wáng shuō , fán wǒ zhǔ wǒ wáng fēnfu púrén de , púrén dōu bì zūnxíng . wáng yòu shuō , mǐ fēi bō shè bì yǔ wǒ tóng xí chī fàn , rú wáng de érzi yíyàng .
11 Then Ziba said to the king, “Your servant will do whatever my lord the king commands his servant to do.” So Mephibosheth ate at David’s table like one of the king’s sons.
12 Mǐ fēi bō shè yǒu yī gè xiǎoér zǐ , míng jiào Mǐjiā . fán zhù zaì xǐ bā jiā lǐ de rén dōu zuò le mǐ fēi bō shè de púrén .
12 Mephibosheth had a young son named Mika, and all the members of Ziba’s household were servants of Mephibosheth.
13 Yúshì mǐ fēi bō shè zhù zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng , cháng yǔ wáng tóng xí chī fàn . tā liǎng tuǐ dōu shì què de .
13 And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he always ate at the king’s table; he was lame in both feet.
