2 Corinthians 5:14-17

NLT 14 Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. NIV 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. NLT 15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. NIV 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. NLT 16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! NIV 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. NLT 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! NIV 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
