Deuteronomy 34

BBE 1 And Moses went up from the table-lands of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah which is facing Jericho. And the Lord let him see all the land, the land of Gilead as far as Dan; NIV 1 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan, BBE 2 And all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, as far as the Great Sea of the west; NIV 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea, BBE 3 And the South, and the circle of the valley of Jericho, the town of palm-trees, as far as Zoar. NIV 3 the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. BBE 4 And the Lord said to him, This is the land about which I made an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed: now I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not go in there. NIV 4 Then the LORD said to him, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.” BBE 5 So death came to Moses, the servant of the Lord, there in the land of Moab, as the Lord had said. NIV 5 And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. BBE 6 And the Lord put him to rest in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor: but no man has knowledge of his resting-place to this day. NIV 6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is. BBE 7 And Moses at his death was a hundred and twenty years old: his eye had not become clouded, or his natural force become feeble. NIV 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone. BBE 8 For thirty days the children of Israel were weeping for Moses in the table-lands of Moab, till the days of weeping and sorrow for Moses were ended. NIV 8 The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning was over. BBE 9 And Joshua, the son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had put his hands on him: and the children of Israel gave ear to him, and did as the Lord had given orders to Moses. NIV 9 Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses. BBE 10 There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord had knowledge of face to face; NIV 10 Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, BBE 11 In all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and all his land; NIV 11 who did all those signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. BBE 12 And in all the acts of power and fear which Moses did before the eyes of all Israel. NIV 12 For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
