LEB 1 And Moses assembled all the community of the {Israelites}, and he said to them, "These are the words that Yahweh has commanded [for us] to do them. NIV 1 Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things the LORD has commanded you to do: LEB 2 [On] six days work can be done, and on the seventh there will be for you a holy [day], a {Sabbath of complete rest}, for Yahweh; anyone doing work on it will be put to death. NIV 2 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death. LEB 3 You will not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the day of the Sabbath." NIV 3 Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.” LEB 4 And Moses said to all the community of the {Israelites}, saying, "This is the word that Yahweh has commanded, saying, NIV 4 Moses said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the LORD has commanded: LEB 5 'Take from among you a contribution for Yahweh, anyone willing of heart, let him bring Yahweh's contribution--gold and silver and bronze, NIV 5 From what you have, take an offering for the LORD. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the LORD an offering of gold, silver and bronze; LEB 6 and blue and purple and crimson [yarns], and fine linen and goat hair, NIV 6 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; LEB 7 and red-dyed ram skins, and fine leather, and acacia wood, NIV 7 ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather ; acacia wood; LEB 8 and oil for the lamp, balsam oils for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, NIV 8 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; LEB 9 onyx stones and stones for mountings on the ephod and the breast piece. NIV 9 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. LEB 10 "And let all [the] skilled of heart among you come and make all that Yahweh has commanded: NIV 10 “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the LORD has commanded: LEB 11 The tabernacle, its tent, and its covering; its clasps and its frames; its bars, its pillars, and its bases; NIV 11 the tabernacle with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases; LEB 12 the ark and its poles; the atonement cover and the curtain of the screen; NIV 12 the ark with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain that shields it; LEB 13 the table and its poles and all its equipment; and the bread of the presence; NIV 13 the table with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence; LEB 14 and lampstand of the light and its equipment and its lamps and the oil for the light; NIV 14 the lampstand that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light; LEB 15 and the altar of incense and its poles; and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense and the entrance curtain for the entrance of the tabernacle; NIV 15 the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense; the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle; LEB 16 the altar of the burnt offering and the bronze grating that [is] for it, its poles and all its equipment; the basin and its stand; NIV 16 the altar of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the bronze basin with its stand; LEB 17 the hangings of the courtyard, its pillars, and its bases, and the screen for the courtyard gate; NIV 17 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; LEB 18 the {pegs} of the tabernacle and the {pegs} of the courtyard and their cords; NIV 18 the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes; LEB 19 the woven garments for serving in the sanctuary--the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons to serve as priests." NIV 19 the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary—both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.” LEB 20 And all the community of the {Israelites} went out from before Moses. NIV 20 Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence, LEB 21 And they came--every man whose heart lifted him and every man whose spirit impelled him--they brought Yahweh's contribution for the work of the tent of assembly and for all its service and for the holy garments. NIV 21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the LORD for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. LEB 22 And they came, the men in addition to the women, all [who were] willing of heart; they brought brooches and jewelry rings and signet rings and ornaments--every [variety] of gold object--every man who waved a wave offering of gold for Yahweh, NIV 22 All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD. LEB 23 and every man with whom was found blue and purple and crimson [yarns] and fine linen and goat hair and red-dyed ram skins and fine leather brought [it]. NIV 23 Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them. LEB 24 All [who were] presenting a contribution of silver and bronze brought Yahweh's contribution, and all with whom was found acacia wood for all the work of service brought [it]. NIV 24 Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the LORD, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. LEB 25 And every woman [who was] skilled of heart with her hands they spun, and they brought yarn--the blue and the purple, the crimson and the fine linen. NIV 25 Every skilled woman spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. LEB 26 And all the women whose heart lifted them with skill spun the goat hair. NIV 26 And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. LEB 27 And the leaders brought the onyx stones and stones for mountings for the ephod and for the breast piece NIV 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. LEB 28 and the balsam oils and the oil for light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. NIV 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. LEB 29 Every man and woman whose heart impelled them to bring for all the work to be done that Yahweh had commanded {by the agency of} Moses--the {Israelites} brought freely to Yahweh. NIV 29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do. LEB 30 And Moses said to the {Israelites}, "See, Yahweh has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri the son of Hur, from the tribe of Judah. NIV 30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, LEB 31 And he has filled him [with] the Spirit of God, with wisdom and with skill and with knowledge and with every [kind of] craftsmanship, NIV 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— LEB 32 and to devise designs, to work with the gold and with the silver and with the bronze, NIV 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, LEB 33 and in stonecutting for setting and in cutting wood, for doing every [kind of] design craftsmanship. NIV 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. LEB 34 And he has put [it] in his heart to teach--he and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, from the tribe of Dan. NIV 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. LEB 35 He has filled them [with] skill of heart to do every work of a craftsman and a designer and an embroiderer with the blue and with the purple, with the crimson [yarns] and with the fine linen and a weaver; [they are] doers of every [kind of] craftsmanship and devisers of designs. NIV 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
