Leviticus 2

GW 1 [The LORD continued,] "Now, if any of you bring a grain offering to the LORD, your offering must be flour. Pour olive oil on it, and put incense on it. NIV 1 “ ‘When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, their offering is to be of the finest flour. They are to pour olive oil on it, put incense on it GW 2 Then bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests. Take from this a handful of flour with olive oil, and all the incense. The priest will burn it on the altar as a reminder. It is an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD. NIV 2 and take it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. GW 3 The rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons. It is very holy, set apart from the LORD's offering by fire. NIV 3 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the LORD. GW 4 "If you bring a grain offering which has been baked in an oven, it must be rings of unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil or wafers of unleavened bread brushed with olive oil. NIV 4 “ ‘If you bring a grain offering baked in an oven, it is to consist of the finest flour: either thick loaves made without yeast and with olive oil mixed in or thin loaves made without yeast and brushed with olive oil. GW 5 If your grain offering is prepared in a frying pan, it, too, will be unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil. NIV 5 If your grain offering is prepared on a griddle, it is to be made of the finest flour mixed with oil, and without yeast. GW 6 Break it into pieces and pour olive oil over it. It is a grain offering. NIV 6 Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. GW 7 If your grain offering is prepared in a skillet, it will be made of flour with olive oil. NIV 7 If your grain offering is cooked in a pan, it is to be made of the finest flour and some olive oil. GW 8 "Bring the LORD the grain offering prepared in any of these ways. Offer it to the priest who will bring it to the altar. NIV 8 Bring the grain offering made of these things to the LORD; present it to the priest, who shall take it to the altar. GW 9 The priest will remove part of the grain offering and burn it as a reminder on the altar. It is an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD. NIV 9 He shall take out the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. GW 10 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons. It is very holy, set apart from the LORD's offering by fire. NIV 10 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the LORD. GW 11 "Every grain offering that you bring to the LORD must be prepared without yeast. Never burn yeast or honey as an offering to the LORD. NIV 11 “ ‘Every grain offering you bring to the LORD must be made without yeast, for you are not to burn any yeast or honey in a food offering presented to the LORD. GW 12 You may bring them to the LORD as offerings of your first products. But they must never be placed on the altar to make a soothing aroma. NIV 12 You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of the firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma. GW 13 Also put salt on each of your grain offerings. The salt of God's promise must never be left out of your grain offerings. Put salt on all your offerings. NIV 13 Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings. GW 14 "If you bring a grain offering to the LORD from the first grain you harvest, roast the cracked grain over fire. NIV 14 “ ‘If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, offer crushed heads of new grain roasted in the fire. GW 15 Put olive oil on it, and place incense on it. It is a grain offering. NIV 15 Put oil and incense on it; it is a grain offering. GW 16 The priest will burn the flour, olive oil, and all the incense as a reminder. It is an offering by fire to the LORD." NIV 16 The priest shall burn the memorial portion of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all the incense, as a food offering presented to the LORD.
