Mark 5:38-43

KJV 38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. NIV 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. KJV 39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them,Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. NIV 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” KJV 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. NIV 40 But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. KJV 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted,Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. NIV 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). KJV 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. NIV 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. KJV 43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. NIV 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.
