Psalm 19

LEB 1 The heavens [are] telling the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands. NIV 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. LEB 2 {Every day} [they] pour forth speech, and {every night} [they] tell knowledge. NIV 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. LEB 3 There is no speech and there are no words; their sound is inaudible. NIV 3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. LEB 4 [Yet] in all [the] world their line goes out, and their words to [the] end of [the] world. In them he has pitched a tent for the sun, NIV 4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. LEB 5 and it [is] like a bridegroom who comes out of his bridal chamber. It is glad like a strong man to run [its] course. NIV 5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. LEB 6 Its rising [is] from [one] end of the heavens and its circuit to the [other] end of them; and nothing [is] hidden from its heat. NIV 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. LEB 7 The law of Yahweh [is] perfect, reviving life. The testimony of Yahweh [is] firm, making wise [the] simple. NIV 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. LEB 8 The precepts of Yahweh [are] right, making [the] heart rejoice. The command of Yahweh [is] pure, enlightening [the] eyes. NIV 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. LEB 9 The fear of Yahweh [is] pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of Yahweh [are] true; they are righteous altogether, NIV 9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous. LEB 10 more desirable than gold, even much fine gold; and sweeter than honey, even honey [in the] comb. NIV 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. LEB 11 Moreover, your servant [is] warned by them; in keeping them [is] great reward. NIV 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. LEB 12 Who can perceive [his] errors? Acquit me from hidden [faults]. NIV 12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. LEB 13 Also, keep back your servant from arrogant [sins]; let them not rule over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. NIV 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. LEB 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your presence, O Yahweh, my rock and my redeemer. NIV 14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
