Acts 10:17-27

YLT 17 And as Peter was perplexed in himself what the vision that he saw might be, then, lo, the men who have been sent from Cornelius, having made inquiry for the house of Simon, stood at the gate, NIV 17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. YLT 18 and having called, they were asking if Simon, who is surnamed Peter, doth lodge here? NIV 18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there. YLT 19 And Peter thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, `Lo, three men do seek thee; NIV 19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. YLT 20 but having risen, go down and go on with them, nothing doubting, because I have sent them;' NIV 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.” YLT 21 and Peter having come down unto the men who have been sent from Cornelius unto him, said, `Lo, I am he whom ye seek, what [is] the cause for which ye are present?' NIV 21 Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?” YLT 22 And they said, `Cornelius, a centurion, a man righteous and fearing God, well testified to, also, by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy messenger to send for thee, to his house, and to hear sayings from thee.' NIV 22 The men replied, “We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.” YLT 23 Having called them in, therefore, he lodged them, and on the morrow Peter went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa went with him, NIV 23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the believers from Joppa went along. YLT 24 and on the morrow they did enter into Cesarea; and Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his kindred and near friends, NIV 24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. YLT 25 and as it came that Peter entered in, Cornelius having met him, having fallen at [his] feet, did bow before [him]; NIV 25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. YLT 26 and Peter raised him, saying, `Stand up; I also myself am a man;' NIV 26 But Peter made him get up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.” YLT 27 and talking with him he went in, and doth find many having come together. NIV 27 While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.
