NRSA 36 Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified." NIV 36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” NRSA 37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, "Brothers, what should we do?" NIV 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” NRSA 38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. NIV 38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. NRSA 39 For the promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to him." NIV 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” NRSA 40 And he testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." NIV 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” NRSA 41 So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added. NIV 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. NRSA 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. NRSA 46 Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, NIV 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
