Colossians 4:1-11

KJV 1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven. NIV 1 Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. KJV 2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; NIV 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. KJV 3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: NIV 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. KJV 4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. NIV 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. KJV 5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. NIV 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. KJV 6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. NIV 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. KJV 7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: NIV 7 Tychicus will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord. KJV 8 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts; NIV 8 I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. KJV 9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. NIV 9 He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here. KJV 10 Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;) NIV 10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus sends you his greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.) KJV 11 And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. NIV 11 Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me.
