Ephesians 6:13-24

NLT 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. NIV 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. NLT 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. NIV 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, NLT 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. NIV 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. NLT 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. NIV 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. NLT 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. NIV 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. NLT 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. NIV 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. NLT 19 And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. NIV 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, NLT 20 I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should. NIV 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. NLT 21 To bring you up to date, Tychicus will give you a full report about what I am doing and how I am getting along. He is a beloved brother and faithful helper in the Lord’s work. NIV 21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. NLT 22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose—to let you know how we are doing and to encourage you. NIV 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. NLT 23 Peace be with you, dear brothers and sisters, and may God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you love with faithfulness. NIV 23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. NLT 24 May God’s grace be eternally upon all who love our Lord Jesus Christ. NIV 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
