8 Poi il re ritornò dall’orto del palazzo nella casa del convito del vino. Or Haman s’era gittato in sul letto, sopra il quale era Ester. E il re disse: Sforzerebbe egli pure ancora la regina appresso di me in casa? Come quella parola fu uscita della bocca del re, la faccia di Haman fu coperta.

Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining. The king exclaimed, “Will he even molest the queen while she is with me in the house?” As soon as the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.
