2 «Hijo de hombre, ponte de cara a Jerusalén y profetiza contra Israel y sus santuarios.

3 Dile: “Esto dice el Señor<br />: ‘Oh Israel, yo soy tu enemigo y voy a desenvainar mi espada para destruir a tu gente, a justos y a perversos por igual.

4 Así es, ¡eliminaré tanto a los justos como a los perversos! Sacaré mi espada contra todos los que estén en la tierra, desde el sur hasta el norte.

5 El mundo entero sabrá que yo soy el Señor<br />. Tengo la espada en la mano, y no la devolveré a su vaina hasta que haya terminado su trabajo’”.

6 »¡Hijo de hombre, gime delante del pueblo! Gime ante ellos con amarga angustia y el corazón destrozado.

1 The word of the LORD came to me:

2 “Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel

3 and say to her: ‘This is what the LORD says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

4 Because I am going to cut off the righteous and the wicked, my sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north.

5 Then all people will know that I the LORD have drawn my sword from its sheath; it will not return again.’

6 “Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief.
