13 Denn auch sie, die beschnitten sind, beobachten selbst das Gesetz nicht, sondern sie wollen, daß ihr beschnitten werdet, auf daß sie sich eures Fleisches rühmen.

Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.
14 Von mir aber sei es ferne, mich zu rühmen, als nur des Kreuzes unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, durch welchen mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist, und ich der Welt.

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 Denn weder Beschneidung noch Vorhaut ist etwas, sondern eine neue Schöpfung.

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.
16 Und so viele nach dieser Richtschnur wandeln werden, Friede über sie und Barmherzigkeit, und über den Israel Gottes!
