1 Nà liǎng gè tiānshǐ wǎnshang dào le Suǒduōmǎ . Luódé zhèng zuò zaì Suǒduōmǎ chéng ménkǒu , kànjian tāmen , jiù qǐlai yíngjiē , liǎn fú yú dì xià baì ,
1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.
2 Shuō , wǒ zhǔ a , qǐng nǐmen dào púrén jia lǐ xǐ xǐ jiǎo , zhù yī yè , qīngzǎo qǐlai zaì zǒu . tāmen shuō , bú , wǒmen yào zaì jiē shàng guò yè .
2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.” “No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”
3 Luódé qiē qiē dì qǐng tāmen , tāmen zhè cái jìn qù , dào tā wū lǐ . Luódé wéi tāmen yùbeì yánxí , kǎo wú jiào bǐng , tāmen jiù chī le .
3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate.
4 Tāmen hái méiyǒu tǎng xià , Suǒduōmǎ chéng lǐ gè chǔ de rén , lián lǎo daì shǎo , dōu lái wéi zhù nà fángzi ,
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house.
5 Hūjiào Luódé shuō , jīnrì wǎnshang dào nǐ zhèlǐ lái de rén zaì nǎli ne . bà tāmen daì chūlai , rén wǒmen suǒ wèi .
5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
6 Luódé chūlai , bǎ mén guān shàng , dào zhòngrén nàli ,
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
7 Shuō , zhòng dìxiōng , qǐng nǐmen búyào zuò zhè è shì .
7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing.
8 Wǒ yǒu liǎng gè nǚér , háishì chǔnǚ , róng wǒ lǐng chūlai , rènpíng nǐmen de xīnyuàn ér xíng . zhǐshì zhè liǎng gèrén jìrán dào wǒ shè xià , búyào xiàng tāmen zuò shénme .
8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”
9 Zhòngrén shuō , tuì qù ba . yòu shuō , zhège rén lái jìjū , hái xiǎng yào zuò guān nǎ . xiànzaì wǒmen yào haì nǐ bǐ haì tāmen gēng shén . zhòngrén jiù xiàng qián yōngjǐ Luódé , yào gōng pò fáng mén .
9 “Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
10 Zhǐshì nà èr rén shēn chū shǒu lái , jiàng Luódé lā jìn wū qù , bǎ mén guān shàng ,
10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door.
11 Bìngqiĕ shǐ mén waì de rén , wúlùn lǎo shào , yǎn dōu hūn mí . tāmen mó lái mó qù , zǒng xún bú zhe fáng mén .
11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.
12 Èr rén duì Luódé shuō , nǐ zhèlǐ hái yǒu shénme rén ma . wúlùn shì nǚxù shì érnǚ , hé zhè chéng zhōng yīqiè shǔ nǐde rén , nǐ dōu yào jiāng tāmen cóng zhè dìfang daì chū qù .
12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,
13 Wǒmen yào huǐmiè zhè dìfang . yīnwei chéng neì zuìè de shēngyīn zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián shén dà , Yēhéhuá chà wǒmen lái , yào huǐmiè zhè dìfang .
13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”
14 Luódé jiù chū qù , gàosu qǔ le ( huò zuò jiāngyào qǔ ) tā nǚér de nǚxù men shuō , nǐmen qǐlai líkāi zhè dìfang , yīnwei Yēhéhuá yào huǐmiè zhè chéng . tā nǚxù men què yǐwéi tā shuō de shì xì yán .
14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.
15 Tiān míng le , tiānshǐ cuībī Luódé shuō , qǐlai , daì zhe nǐde qīzi hé nǐ zaì zhèlǐ de liǎng gè nǚér chū qù , miǎndé nǐ yīn zhè chéng lǐ de zuìè tóng beì chāo miè .
15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”
16 Dàn Luódé chíyán bú zǒu . èr rén yīnwei Yēhéhuá liánxù Luódé , jiù lā zhe tāde shǒu hé tā qīzi de shǒu , bìng tā liǎng gè nǚér de shǒu , bà tāmen lǐng chūlai , ānzhì zaì chéng waì .
16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the LORD was merciful to them.
17 Lǐng tāmen chūlai yǐhòu , jiù shuō , taó méng ba . bùkĕ huí tóu kàn , yĕ bùkĕ zaì píngyuán zhàn zhù . yào wàng shān shàng taópǎo , miǎndé nǐ beì chāo miè .
17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
18 Luódé duì tāmen shuō , wǒ zhǔ a , búyào rúcǐ ,
18 But Lot said to them, “No, my lords, please!
19 Nǐ púrén yǐjing zaì nǐ yǎnqián mĕng ēn . nǐ yòu xiàng wǒ xiǎn chū mò dà de cíaì , jiù wǒde xìngméng . wǒ bùnéng taó dào shān shàng qù , kǒngpà zhè zāihuò líndào wǒ , wǒ biàn sǐ le .
19 Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die.
20 Kàn nǎ , zhè zuò chéng yòu xiǎo yòu jìn , róngyi taó dào , zhè bù shì yī gè xiǎo de ma . qiú nǐ róng wǒ taó dào nàli , wǒde xìngméng jiù de cún huó .
20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn’t it? Then my life will be spared.”
21 Tiānshǐ duì tā shuō , zhè shì wǒ yĕ yīngyún nǐ . wǒ bù qīngfù nǐ suǒ shuō de zhè chéng .
21 He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.
22 Nǐ yào sù sù dì taó dào nà chéng . yīnwei nǐ hái méiyǒu dào nàli , wǒ bùnéng zuò shénme . yīncǐ nà chéng míng jiào Suǒĕr ( Suǒĕr jiù shì xiǎo de yìsi ) .
22 But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar. )
23 Luódé dào le Suǒĕr , rìtou yǐjing chūlai le .
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land.
24 Dāngshí , Yēhéhuá jiāng liúhuáng yǔ huǒ cóng tiān shàng Yēhéhuá nàli jiàng yǔ Suǒduōmǎ hé Gémólā ,
24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens.
25 Bǎ nàxiē chéng hé quán píngyuán , bìng chéng lǐ suǒyǒude jūmín , lián dì shàng shēng cháng de , dōu huǐmiè le .
25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
26 Luódé de qīzi zaì hòubiān huí tóu yī kàn , jiù biànchéng le yī gēn yán zhù .
26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
27 Yàbólāhǎn qīngzǎo qǐlai , dào le tā cóng qián shān zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián de dìfang ,
27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the LORD.
28 Xiàng Suǒduōmǎ hé Gémólā yǔ píngyuán de quán dì guānkàn , búliào , nà dìfang yān qì shàng téng , rútóng shāo yáo yìbān .
28 He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.
29 Dàng shén huǐmiè píngyuán zhū chéng de shíhou , tā jìniàn Yàbólāhǎn , zhèngzaì qīngfù Luódé suǒ zhù zhī chéng de shíhou , jiù dǎfa Luódé cóng qīngfù zhī zhōng chūlai .
29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.
30 Luódé yīnwei pà zhù zaì Suǒĕr , jiù tóng tā liǎng gè nǚér cóng Suǒĕr shàng qù , zhù zaì shān lǐ . tā hé liǎng gè nǚér zhù zaì yī gè dòng lǐ .
30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave.
31 Dà nǚér duì xiǎo nǚér shuō , wǒmen de fùqin lǎo le , dì shàng yòu wú rén àn zhe shìshang de cháng guī jìn dào wǒmen zhèlǐ .
31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, “Our father is old, and there is no man around here to give us children—as is the custom all over the earth.
32 Lái , wǒmen kĕyǐ jiào fùqin hē jiǔ , yǔ tā tóng qǐn . zhèyàng , wǒmen hǎo cóng tā cún liú hòuyì .
32 Let’s get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.”
33 Yúshì , nà yè tāmen jiào fùqin hē jiǔ , dà nǚér jiù jìn qù hé tā fùqin tóng qǐn . tā jǐshí tǎng xià , jǐshí qǐlai , fùqin dōu bù zhīdào .
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
34 Dì èr tiān , dà nǚér duì xiǎo nǚér shuō , wǒ zuò yè yǔ fùqin tóng qǐn . jīnyè wǒmen zaì jiào tā hē jiǔ , nǐ kĕyǐ jìn qù yǔ tā tóng qǐn . zhèyàng , wǒmen hǎo cóng fùqin cún liú hòuyì .
34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Last night I slept with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.”
35 Yúshì , nà yè tāmen yòu jiào fùqin hē jiǔ , xiǎo nǚér qǐlai yǔ tā fùqin tóng qǐn . tā jǐshí tǎng xià , jǐshí qǐlai , fùqin dōu bù zhīdào .
35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
36 Zhèyàng , Luódé de liǎng gè nǚér dōu cóng tā fùqin huái le yùn .
36 So both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father.
37 Dà nǚér shēng le érzi , gĕi tā qǐmíng jiào Móyē , jiù shì xiànjīn Móyē rén de shǐzǔ .
37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab ; he is the father of the Moabites of today.
38 Xiǎo nǚér yĕ shēng le érzi , gĕi tā qǐmíng jiào Benammi , jiù shì xiànjīn Yàmén rén de shǐzǔ .
38 The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi ; he is the father of the Ammonites of today.
