Hebrews 10:1-15

TYN 1 For the lawe which hath but the shadowe of good thynges to come and not the thynges in their awne fassion can never with ye sacryfises which they offer yere by yere continually make the comers thervnto parfayte. NIV 1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. TYN 2 For wolde not then those sacrifises have ceased to have bene offered because that the offerers once pourged shuld have had no moare conscieces of sinnes. NIV 2 Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. TYN 3 Neverthelesse in those sacrifises is ther mencion made of synnes every yeare. NIV 3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. TYN 4 For it is vnpossible that the bloud of oxen and of gotes shuld take awaye synnes. NIV 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. TYN 5 Wherfore when he commeth into the worlde he sayth: Sacrifice and offeringe thou woldest not have: but a bodie hast thou ordeyned me. NIV 5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; TYN 6 In sacrifices and synne offerynges thou hast no lust. NIV 6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. TYN 7 Then I sayde: Lo I come in the chefest of the boke it is written of me that I shuld doo thy will o god. NIV 7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’ ” TYN 8 Above when he had sayed sacrifice and offerynge and burnt sacrifices and synne offerynges thou woldest not have nether hast alowed (which yet are offered by the lawe) NIV 8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. TYN 9 and then sayde: Lo I come to do thy will o god: he taketh awaye the fyrst to stablisshe the latter. NIV 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. TYN 10 By the which will we are sanctified by the offeringe of the body of Iesu Christe once for all. NIV 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. TYN 11 And every prest is redy dayly ministrynge and ofte tymes offereth one maner of offerynge which can never take awaye synnes. NIV 11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. TYN 12 But this man after he had offered one sacrifyce for synnes sat him doune for ever on the right honde of god NIV 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, TYN 13 and from hence forth tarieth till his foes be made his fotestole. NIV 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. TYN 14 For with one offerynge hath he made parfecte for ever them yt are sanctified. NIV 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. TYN 15 And ye holy goost also beareth vs recorde of this even when he tolde before: NIV 15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
