16 Maar nu zijn zij begerig naar een beter, dat is, naar het hemelse. Daarom schaamt Zich God hunner niet, om hun God genaamd te worden; want Hij had hun een stad bereid.
16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
