1 Yǐfǎlián chī fēng , qiĕ zhuīgǎn dōng fēng . shícháng zēngtiān xū huǎng hé qiángbào . yǔ Yàshù lì yuē , bǎ yóu sòng dào Āijí .
1 Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiplies lies and violence. He makes a treaty with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.
2 Yēhéhuá yǔ Yóudà zhēng biàn , bì zhào Yǎgè suǒ xíng de chéngfá tā , àn tā suǒ zuò de bàoyìng tā .
2 The LORD has a charge to bring against Judah; he will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds.
3 Tā zaì fù zhōng zhuāzhù gēge de jiǎogēn , zhuàng nián de shíhou yǔ shén jiào lì .
3 In the womb he grasped his brother’s heel; as a man he struggled with God.
4 Yǔ tiānshǐ jiào lì , bìngqiĕ déshèng , kūqì kĕnqiú , zaì Bótèlì yùjiàn Yēhéhuá .
4 He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there—
5 Yēhéhuá wàn jūn zhī shén zaì nàli xiǎoyù wǒmen Yǐsèliè rén , Yēhéhuá shì tā kĕ jìniàn de míng .
5 the LORD God Almighty, the LORD is his name!
6 Suǒyǐ nǐ dāng guī xiàng nǐde shén , jǐn shǒu rénaì , gōngping , chángcháng dĕnghòu nǐde shén .
6 But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always.
7 Yǐfǎlián shì shāng rén , shǒu lǐ yǒu guǐzhà de tiān píng , aì xíng qīpiàn .
7 The merchant uses dishonest scales and loves to defraud.
8 Yǐfǎlián shuō , wǒ guǒrán chéng le fùzú , dé le cáibǎo , wǒ suǒ laólù dé lái de , rén bì bú jiàn yǒu shénme bù yì , kĕ suàn wèi zuì de .
8 Ephraim boasts, “I am very rich; I have become wealthy. With all my wealth they will not find in me any iniquity or sin.”
9 Zì cóng nǐ chū Āijí dì yǐlái , wǒ jiù shì Yēhéhuá nǐde shén , wǒ bì shǐ nǐ zaì zhù zhàngpéng , rú zaì dà huì/kuaì de rìzi yíyàng .
9 “I have been the LORD your God ever since you came out of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, as in the days of your appointed festivals.
10 Wǒ yǐ xiǎoyù zhòng xiānzhī , bìngqiĕ jiā zēng mò shì , jiè xiānzhī shèlì bǐyù .
10 I spoke to the prophets, gave them many visions and told parables through them.”
11 Jīliè rén méiyǒu zuìniè ma . tāmen quán rán shì xūjiǎ de . rén zaì Jíjiǎ xiàn niúdú wèi jì , tāmende jìtán , hǎoxiàng tiánjiān lí gōu zhōng de luàn duī .
11 Is Gilead wicked? Its people are worthless! Do they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal? Their altars will be like piles of stones on a plowed field.
12 Cóng qián Yǎgè taó dào Yàlán dì , Yǐsèliè wèi dé qī fúshì rén , wèi dé qī yǔ rén fàng yáng .
12 Jacob fled to the country of Aram ; Israel served to get a wife, and to pay for her he tended sheep.
13 Yēhéhuá jiè xiānzhī lǐng Yǐsèliè cóng Āijí shang lái , Yǐsèliè yĕ jiè xiānzhī ér dé bǎo cún .
13 The LORD used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt, by a prophet he cared for him.
14 Yǐfǎlián dàdà rĕ dòng zhǔ nù , suǒyǐ tā liúxuè de zuì , bì guī zaì tā shēnshang , zhǔ bìjiāng nà yīn Yǐfǎlián suǒ shòu de xiūrǔ guī huán tā .
14 But Ephraim has aroused his bitter anger; his Lord will leave on him the guilt of his bloodshed and will repay him for his contempt.
