1 Foi isto que Isaías, filho de Amoz, viu a respeito de Judá e de Jerusalém:

This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
2 Nos últimos diaso monte do templo do SENHOR será estabelecidocomo o principal;será elevado acima das colinas,e todas as nações correrão para ele.

In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
3 Virão muitos povos e dirão:“Venham, subamos ao monte do SENHOR,ao templo do Deus de Jacó,para que ele nos ensine os seus caminhos,e assim andemos em suas veredas”.Pois a lei sairá de Sião,de Jerusalém virá a palavra do SENHOR.

Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 Ele julgará entre as naçõese resolverá contendas de muitos povos.Eles farão de suas espadas arados,e de suas lanças, foices.Uma nação não mais pegará em armaspara atacar outra nação,elas jamais tornarão a preparar-separa a guerra.

He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
5 Venha, ó descendência de Jacó,andemos na luz do SENHOR!

Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6 Certamente abandonaste o teu povo,os descendentes de Jacó,porque eles se encheram de superstições dos povos do leste,praticam adivinhações como os filisteuse fazem acordos com pagãos.

You, LORD, have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and embrace pagan customs.
7 Sua terra está cheia de prata e ouro;seus tesouros são incontáveis.Sua terra está cheia de cavalos;seus carros não têm fim.

Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
8 Sua terra está cheia de ídolos.Eles se inclinam diante da obra das suas mãos,diante do que os seus dedos fizeram.

Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.
9 Por isso a humanidade será abatidae o homem será humilhado;não os perdoes!

So people will be brought low and everyone humbled— do not forgive them.
10 Entre no meio das rochas, esconda-se no pópor causa do terror que vem doe do esplendor da sua majestade!

Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from the fearful presence of the LORDand the splendor of his majesty!
11 Os olhos do arrogante serão humilhadose o orgulho dos homens será abatido;somente o SENHOR será exaltado naquele dia.

The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.
12 O SENHOR dos Exércitos tem um dia reservadopara todos os orgulhosos e altivos,para tudo o que é exaltado,para que eles sejam humilhados;

The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled),
13 para todos os cedros do Líbano, altos e altivos,e todos os carvalhos de Basã;

for all the cedars of Lebanon, tall and lofty, and all the oaks of Bashan,
14 para todos os montes elevadose todas as colinas altas;

for all the towering mountains and all the high hills,
15 para toda torre imponentee todo muro fortificado;

for every lofty tower and every fortified wall,
16 para todo navio mercantee todo barco de luxo.

for every trading shipand every stately vessel.
17 A arrogância dos homens será abatida,e o seu orgulho será humilhado.Somente o SENHOR será exaltado naquele dia,

The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day,
18 e os ídolos desaparecerão por completo.

and the idols will totally disappear.
19 Os homens fugirão para as cavernas das rochase para os buracos da terrapor causa do terror que vem doe do esplendor da sua majestadequando ele se levantar para sacudir a terra.

People will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from the fearful presence of the LORDand the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
20 Naquele dia, os homens atirarãoaos ratos e aos morcegosos ídolos de prata e os ídolos de ouroque fizeram para adorar.

In that day people will throw away to the moles and bats their idols of silver and idols of gold, which they made to worship.
21 Fugirão para as cavernas das rochase para as brechas dos penhascos,por causa do terror que vem doe do esplendor da sua majestadequando ele se levantar para sacudir a terra.

They will flee to caverns in the rocks and to the overhanging crags from the fearful presence of the LORDand the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
22 Parem de confiar no homem,cuja vida não passa de um sopro em suas narinas.Que valor ele tem?

Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?
