1 Nǐmen xīnli búyào yōuchóu . nǐmen xìn shén , yĕ dāng xìn wǒ .

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
2 Zaì wǒ fù de jiā lǐ , yǒu xǔduō zhù chù . ruò shì méiyǒu , wǒ jiù zǎo yǐ gàosu nǐmen le . wǒ qù yuán shì wèi nǐmen yùbeì dìfang qù .

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
3 Wǒ ruò qù wèi nǐmen yùbeì le dìfang , jiù bì zaì lái jiē nǐmen dào wǒ nàli qù , wǒ zaì nàli , jiào nǐmen yĕ zaì nàli .

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
4 Wǒ wǎng nàli qù , nǐmen zhīdào . nà tiaó lù , nǐmen yĕ zhīdào . ( yǒu gǔ juǎn zuò "wǒ wǎng nàli qù nǐmen zhīdào nà tiaó lù" )

You know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 Duōmǎ duì tā shuō , Zhǔ a , wǒmen bù zhīdào nǐ wǎng nàli qù , zĕnme zhīdào nà tiaó lù ne .

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Yēsū shuō , wǒ jiù shì dàolù , zhēnlǐ , shēngmìng . ruò bù jiè zhe wǒ . méiyǒu rén néng dào fù nàli qù .

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7 Nǐmen ruò rènshi wǒ , yĕ jiù rènshi wǒde fù . cōng jīn yǐhòu , nǐmen rènshi tā , bìngqiĕ yǐjing kànjian tā .

If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”
9 Yēsū duì tā shuō , Féilì , wǒ yù nǐmen tòng zaì zhèyàng chángjiǔ , nǐ hái bù rènshi wǒ má . rén kànjian le wǒ , jiù shì kànjian le fù . nǐ zĕnme shuō , jiāng fù xiǎn gĕi wǒmen kān ne .

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 Wǒ zaì fù lǐmiàn , fù zaì wǒ lǐmiàn , nǐ bù xìn má . wǒ duì nǐmen suǒ shuō de huà , bù shì píng zhe zìjǐ shuō de , nǎi shì zhù zaì wǒ lǐmiàn de fù zuò tā zìjǐ de shì .

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
11 Nǐmen dāng xìn wǒ , wǒ zaì fù lǐmiàn , fù zaì wǒ lǐmiàn . jì huò bù xìn , yĕ dāng yīn wǒ suǒ zuò de shì xìn wǒ .

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
12 Wǒ shí shízaì zaì de gàosu nǐmen , wǒ suǒ zuò de shì , xìn wǒde rén yĕ yào zuò . bìngqiĕ yào zuò bǐ zhè gēng dà de shì . yīnwei wǒ wǎng fù nàli qù.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
13 Nǐmen fèng wǒde míng , wúlùn qiú shénme , wǒ bì chéngjiù , jiào fù yīn zǐ dé róngyào .

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 Nǐmen ruò fèng wǒde míng qiú shénme , wǒ bì chéngjiù .

You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
15 Nǐmen ruò aì wǒ , jiù bì zūnshǒu wǒde mìnglìng .

“If you love me, keep my commands.
16 Wǒ yào qiú fù , fù jiù Lìngwaì cìgĕi nǐmen yī wèi bǎo huì shī , ( huò zuò xùn wèi shī xià tóng ) jiào tā yǒngyuǎn yǔ nǐmen tóng zaì .

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—
17 Jiù shì zhēnlǐ de Shènglíng , nǎi shìrén bùnéng jiē shòu de . yīnwei bù jiàn tā , yĕ bù rènshi tā . nǐmen què rènshi tā . yīn tā cháng yù nǐmen tóng zaì , yĕ yào zaì nǐmen lǐmiàn .

the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
18 Wǒ bù piĕ xià nǐmen wéi gūér , wǒ bì dào nǐmen zhèlǐ lái .

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 Hái yǒu bù duō de shíhou , shìrén bù zaì kànjian wǒ . nǐmen què kànjian wǒ . yīnwei wǒ huó zhe , nǐmen yĕ huó zhe .

Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
20 Dào nà rì , nǐmen jiù zhīdào wǒ zaì fù lǐmiàn , nǐmen zaì wǒ lǐmiàn , wǒ yĕ zaì nǐmen lǐmiàn .

On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
21 Yǒu le wǒde mìnglìng yòu zūnshǒu de , zhè rén jiù shì aì wǒde . aì wǒde bì méng wǒ fù aì tā , wǒ yĕ yào aì tā , bìngqiĕ yào xiàng tā xiǎnxiàn .

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
22 Yóudà ( bù shì Jiālǜe rén Yóudà ) wèn Yēsū shuō , Zhǔ a , wèishénme yào xiàng wǒmen xiǎnxiàn , bù xiàng shìrén xiǎnxiàn ne .

Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Yēsū huídá shuō , rén ruò aì wǒ , jiù bì zūnshǒu wǒde dào . wǒ fù yĕ bì aì tā , bìngqiĕ wǒmen yào dào Tānàli qù , yǔ tā tóng zhù .

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
24 Bú aì wǒde rén jiù bù zūnshǒu wǒde dào . nǐmen suǒ tīngjian de dào bù shì wǒde , nǎi shì chāi wǒ lái zhī fù de dào .

Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25 Wǒ hái yù nǐmen tóng zhù de shíhou , yǐ jiāng zhèxie huà duì nǐmen shuō le .

“All this I have spoken while still with you.
26 Dàn bǎo huì shī , jiù shì fù yīn wǒde míng suǒ yào chāi lái de Shènglíng , tā yào jiāng yīqiè de shì , zhǐjiào nǐmen , bìngqiĕ yào jiào nǐmen xiǎngqǐ wǒ duì nǐmen suǒ shuō de yīqiè huà .

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
27 Wǒ liú xià píngān gĕi nǐmen , wǒ jiāng wǒde píngān cìgĕi nǐmen . wǒ suǒ cì de , bù xiàng shìrén suǒ cì de . nǐmen xīnli búyào yōuchóu , yĕ búyào dǎnqiè .

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
28 Nǐmen tīngjian wǒ duì nǐmen shuō le , wǒ qù hái yào dào nǐmen zhèlǐ lái . nǐmen ruò aì wǒ , yīn wǒ dào fù nàli qù , jiù bì xǐlè , yīnwei fù shì bǐ wǒ dà de .

“You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
29 Xiànzaì shìqing hái méiyǒu chéngjiù , wǒ yùxiān gàosu nǐmen , jiào nǐmen dào shìqing chéngjiù de shíhou , jiù kĕyǐ xìn .

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.
30 Yǐhòu wǒ bù zaì hé nǐmen duō shuōhuà , yīnwei zhè shìjiè de wáng jiāng dào . tā zaì wǒ lǐmiàn shì haó wú suǒ yǒu .

I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me,
31 Dàn yào jiào shìrén zhīdào wǒ aì fù , bìngqiĕ fù zĕnyàng fēnfu wǒ , wǒ jiù zĕnyàng xíng . qǐlai wǒmen zǒu bā .

but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.“Come now; let us leave.
