WEB 12 After this, he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, his brothers, and his disciples; and there they stayed not many days. NIV 12 After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days. WEB 13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. NIV 13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. WEB 14 He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting. NIV 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. WEB 15 He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables. NIV 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. WEB 16 To those who sold the doves, he said, "Take these things out of here! Don't make my Father's house a marketplace!" NIV 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” WEB 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for your house will eat me up." NIV 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” WEB 18 The Jews therefore answered him, "What sign do you show to us, seeing that you do these things?" NIV 18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” WEB 19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." NIV 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” WEB 20 The Jews therefore said, "Forty-six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days?" NIV 20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” WEB 21 But he spoke of the temple of his body. NIV 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. WEB 22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. NIV 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. WEB 23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, observing his signs which he did. NIV 23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name. WEB 24 But Jesus didn't trust himself to them, because he knew all people, NIV 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. WEB 25 and because he didn't need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man. NIV 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.
