39 Y como vio <I>esto</I> el fariseo que le había convidado, habló entre sí, diciendo: Este, si fuera profeta, conocería quién y cuál es la mujer que le toca, que es pecadora.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”
40 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, una cosa tengo que decirte. Y él dice: Di, Maestro.

Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”“Tell me, teacher,” he said.
41 Un acreedor tenía dos deudores: el uno le debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta;

“Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,and the other fifty.
42 y no teniendo ellos con qué pagar, soltó <I>la deuda</I> a ambos. Di, pues, ¿cuál de éstos le amará más?

Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”
43 Y respondiendo Simón, dijo: Pienso que aquel al cual soltó más. Y él le dijo: Rectamente has juzgado.

Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.” “You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.
44 Y vuelto a la mujer, dijo a Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, no diste agua para mis pies; y ésta ha regado mis pies con lágrimas, y <I>los</I> ha limpiado con los cabellos de su cabeza.

Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45 No me diste beso, y ésta, desde que entré, no ha cesado de besar mis pies.

You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.
46 No ungiste mi cabeza con óleo; y ésta ha ungido con ungüento mis pies.

You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.
47 Por lo cual te digo <I>que</I> sus muchos pecados <I>le</I> son perdonados, porque amó mucho; mas al que se perdona poco, poco ama.

Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
48 Y a ella dijo: Los pecados te son perdonados.

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 Y los que estaban juntamente sentados a la mesa, comenzaron a decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que también perdona pecados?

The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
