CJB 1 After this, Yeshua traveled about from town to town and village to village, proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of God. With him were the Twelve, NIV 1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, CJB 2 and a number of women who had been healed from evil spirits and illnesses -- Miryam (called Magdalit), from whom seven demons had gone out; NIV 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; CJB 3 Yochanah the wife of Herod's finance minister Kuza; Shoshanah; and many other women who drew on their own wealth to help him. NIV 3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means. CJB 4 After a large crowd had gathered from the people who kept coming to him from town after town, Yeshua told this parable: NIV 4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: CJB 5 "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the path and was stepped on, and the birds flying around ate it up. NIV 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. CJB 6 Some fell on rock; and after it sprouted, it dried up from lack of moisture. NIV 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. CJB 7 Some fell in the midst of thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. NIV 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.
