Matthew 13:24-30

NRSA 24 He put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to someone who sowed good seed in his field; NIV 24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. NRSA 25 but while everybody was asleep, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and then went away. NIV 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. NRSA 26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared as well. NIV 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. NRSA 27 And the slaves of the householder came and said to him, "Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where, then, did these weeds come from?' NIV 27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ NRSA 28 He answered, "An enemy has done this.' The slaves said to him, "Then do you want us to go and gather them?' NIV 28 “ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ NRSA 29 But he replied, "No; for in gathering the weeds you would uproot the wheat along with them. NIV 29 “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. NRSA 30 Let both of them grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Collect the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.' " NIV 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”
