CSB 34 When the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they came together in the same place. NIV 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. CSB 35 And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test Him: NIV 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: CSB 36 "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" NIV 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” CSB 37 He said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. NIV 37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ CSB 38 This is the greatest and most important commandment. NIV 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. CSB 39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. NIV 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ CSB 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments." NIV 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
