NKJV 8 But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, "Why this waste? NIV 8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. NKJV 9 For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor." NIV 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” NKJV 10 But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. NIV 10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. NKJV 11 For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. NIV 11 The poor you will always have with you,but you will not always have me. NKJV 12 For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. NIV 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. NKJV 13 Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her." NIV 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” NKJV 14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests NIV 14 Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests NKJV 15 and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. NIV 15 and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. ' " NIV 18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. NIV 23 Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. It would be better for him if he had not been born.” NKJV 25 Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, "Rabbi, is it I?" He said to him, "You have said it."
