1 Yēhéhuá duì Móxī shuō ,
1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 Nǐ xiǎoyù Yǐsèliè rén , cóng tāmen shǒu xià qǔ zhàng , mĕi zhīpaì yī gēn . cóng tāmen suǒyǒude shǒulǐng , àn zhe zhīpaì , gōng qǔ shí èr gēn . nǐ yào jiàng gèrén de míngzi xiĕ zaì gèrén de zhàng shàng ,
2 “Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff.
3 Bìng yào jiàng Yàlún de míngzi xiĕ zaì Lìwèi de zhàng shàng , yīnwei gè zúzhǎng bì yǒu yī gēn zhàng .
3 On the staff of Levi write Aaron’s name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe.
4 Nǐ yào bǎ zhèxie zhàng cún zaì huì mù neì fǎ jǔ qián , jiù shì wǒ yǔ nǐmen xiāng huì zhī chǔ .
4 Place them in the tent of meeting in front of the ark of the covenant law, where I meet with you.
5 Hòulái wǒ suǒ jiǎnxuǎn de nà rén , tāde zhàng bì fā yá . zhèyàng , wǒ bì shǐ Yǐsèliè rén xiàng nǐmen suǒ fā de yuànyán zhǐxī , bú zaì dádào wǒ ĕr zhōng .
5 The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites.”
6 Yúshì Móxī xiǎoyù Yǐsèliè rén , tāmende shǒulǐng jiù bǎ zhàng jiāo gĕi tā , àn zhe zhīpaì , mĕi shǒulǐng yī gēn , gōng yǒu shí èr gēn . Yàlún de zhàng yĕ zaì qízhōng .
6 So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron’s staff was among them.
7 Móxī jiù bǎ zhàng cún zaì fǎ jǔ de zhàngmù neì , zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián .
7 Moses placed the staffs before the LORD in the tent of the covenant law.
8 Dì èr tiān , Móxī jìn fǎ jǔ de zhàngmù qù . shuí zhī Lìwèi zú Yàlún de zhàng yǐjing fā le yá , shēng le huā bāo , kāi le huā , jié le shú xìng .
8 The next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron’s staff, which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.
9 Móxī jiù bǎ suǒyǒude zhàng cóng Yēhéhuá miànqián ná chūlai , gĕi Yǐsèliè zhòngrén kān . tāmen kànjian le , gè shǒulǐng jiù bǎ zìjǐ de zhàng ná qù .
9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs from the LORD’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.
10 Yēhéhuá fēnfu Móxī shuō , bǎ Yàlún de zhàng hái fàng zaì fǎ jǔ qián , gĕi zhèxie beìpàn zhī zǐ liú zuò jìhào . zhèyàng , nǐ jiù shǐ tāmen xiàng wǒ fā de yuànyán zhǐxī , miǎndé tāmen sǐwáng .
10 The LORD said to Moses, “Put back Aaron’s staff in front of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die.”
11 Móxī jiù zhèyàng xíng . Yēhéhuá zĕnyàng fēnfu tā , tā jiù zĕnyàng xíng le .
11 Moses did just as the LORD commanded him.
12 Yǐsèliè rén duì Móxī shuō , wǒmen sǐ lā . wǒmen mièwáng lā . dōu mièwáng lā .
12 The Israelites said to Moses, “We will die! We are lost, we are all lost!
13 Fán āijìn Yēhéhuá zhàngmù de shì bì sǐ de . wǒmen dōu yào sǐwáng ma ,
13 Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the LORD will die. Are we all going to die?”
