1 Bālán jiàn Yēhéhuá xǐhuan cì fú yǔ Yǐsèliè , jiù bú xiàng qián liǎng cì qù qiú fǎshù , què miàn xiàng kuàngyĕ .

Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he did not resort to divination as at other times, but turned his face toward the wilderness.
2 Bālán jǔmù , kànjian Yǐsèliè rén zhào zhe zhīpaì jūzhù . shén de líng jiù líndào tā shēnshang ,

When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came on him
3 Tā biàn tí qǐ shīgē shuō , Bǐĕr de érzi Bālán shuō , yǎnmù bì zhù ( bì zhù huò zuò zhēng kāi ) de rén shuō ,

and he spoke his message: “The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
4 De tīng shén de yányǔ , de jiàn quánnéng zhĕ de yìxiàng , yǎnmù zhēng kāi ér pú dǎo de rén shuō ,

the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who sees a vision from the Almighty,who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:
5 Yǎgè a , nǐde zhàngpéng hédĕng huámĕi . Yǐsèliè a , nǐde zhàngmù hé qí huálì .

“How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel!
6 Rú jiē lián de shān yù , rú hé páng de yuánzi , rú Yēhéhuá suǒ zāi de chénxiāng shù , rú shuǐ bian de xiāng bǎi mù .

“Like valleys they spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by the LORD, like cedars beside the waters.
7 Shuǐ yào cóng tāde Tǒng lǐ liú chū . zhǒngzǐ yào sǎ zaì duō shuǐ zhī chǔ . tāde wáng bì chāo guō Yàjiǎ . tāde guó bìyào zhènxīng .

Water will flow from their buckets; their seed will have abundant water. “Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted.
8 Shén lǐng tā chū Āijí . tā sìhu yǒu yĕ niú zhī lì . tā yào tūn chī dí guó , zhé duàn tāmende gútou , yòng jiàn shè tòu tāmen .

“God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they pierce them.
9 Tā dūn rú gōng shī , wò rú mǔ shī , shuí gǎn rĕ tā , fán gĕi nǐ zhùfú de , yuàn tā mĕng fú . fán zhòuzǔ nǐde , yuàn tā shòu zhòuzǔ .

Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse them? “May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”
10 Bā lè xiàng Bālán shēngqì , jiù pāi qǐ shǒu lái , duì Bālán shuō , wǒ zhào nǐ lái wéi wǒ zhòuzǔ chóudí , búliào , nǐ zhè sān cì jìng wéi tāmen zhùfú .

Then Balak’s anger burned against Balaam. He struck his hands together and said to him, “I summoned you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times.
11 Rújīn nǐ kuaì huí bĕn dì qù ba . wǒ xiǎng shǐ nǐ de dà zūnróng , Yēhéhuá què zǔ zhǐ nǐ bùdé zūnróng .

Now leave at once and go home! I said I would reward you handsomely, but the LORD has kept you from being rewarded.”
12 Bālán duì bā lè shuō , wǒ qǐbù shì duì nǐ suǒ chāiqiǎn dào wǒ nàli de shǐzhĕ shuō ,

Balaam answered Balak, “Did I not tell the messengers you sent me,
13 Bā lè jiù shì jiàng tā mǎn wū de jīn yín gĕi wǒ , wǒ yĕ bùdé yuèguò Yēhéhuá de méng , píng zìjǐ de xīnyì xíng hǎo xíng dǎi . Yēhéhuá shuō shénme , wǒ jiù yào shuō shénme ,

‘Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the LORD—and I must say only what the LORD says’?
14 Xiànzaì wǒ yào huí bĕn zú qù . nǐ lái , wǒ gàosu nǐ zhè mín rìhòu yào zĕnyàng dāi nǐde mín .

Now I am going back to my people, but come, let me warn you of what this people will do to your people in days to come.”
15 Tā jiù tí qǐ shīgē shuō , Bǐĕr de érzi Bālán shuō , yǎnmù bì zhù ( bì zhù huò zuò zhēng kāi ) de rén shuō ,

Then he spoke his message: “The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
16 De tīng shén de yányǔ , míngbai zhìgāo zhĕ de yìzhǐ , kànjian quánnéng zhĕ de yìxiàng , yǎnmù zhēng kāi ér pú dǎo de rén shuō ,

the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who has knowledge from the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:
17 Wǒ kàn tā què bú zaì xiàn shí . wǒ wàng tā què bú zaì jìn rì . yǒu xīng yào chūyú Yǎgè , yǒu zhàng yào xīng yú Yǐsèliè , bì dǎpò Móyē de sì jiǎo , huǐhuaì rǎoluàn zhī zǐ .

“I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth.
18 Tā bì déyǐ dōng wéi jīyè , yòu de chóudí zhī dì Xīĕr wéi chǎnyè . Yǐsèliè bì xíngshì yǒnggǎn .

Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy, will be conquered, but Israel will grow strong.
19 Yǒu yī wèi chūyú Yǎgè de , bì zhǎng dà quán . tā yào chúmiĕ chéng zhōng de yú mín .

A ruler will come out of Jacob and destroy the survivors of the city.”
20 Bālán guānkàn Yàmǎlì , jiù tí qǐ shīgē shuō , Yàmǎlì yuán wéi zhū guó zhī shǒu , dàn tā zhōng bì chénlún .

Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message: “Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.”
21 Bālán guānkàn Jīnírén , jiù tí qǐ shīgē shuō , nǐde zhù chǔ bĕn shì jiāngù . nǐde wō chaó zuò zaì yán xué zhōng .

Then he saw the Kenites and spoke his message: “Your dwelling place is secure, your nest is set in a rock;
22 Ránér jī ní bì zhì shuāiwēi , zhídào Yàshù bǎ nǐ lǔ qù .

yet you Kenites will be destroyed when Ashur takes you captive.”
23 Bālán yòu tí qǐ shīgē shuō , āi zāi . shén xíng zhè shì , shuí néng de huó ,

Then he spoke his message: “Alas! Who can live when God does this?
24 Bì yǒu rén chéng chuán cóng Jītí jiè ér lái , kǔhaì Yàshù , kǔhaì Xībǎi . tā yĕ bì zhì chénlún .

Ships will come from the shores of Cyprus; they will subdue Ashur and Eber, but they too will come to ruin.”
25 Yúshì Bālán qǐlai , huí tā bĕn dì qù . bā lè yĕ huí qù le .

Then Balaam got up and returned home, and Balak went his own way.
