1 Zhìhuì qǐbù hūjiào , cōngming qǐbù fā shēng .
1 Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?
2 Tā zaì dào páng gāo chù de dǐng shang , zaì shízìlùkǒu zhàn lì .
2 At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
3 Zaì chéng mén páng , zaì chéng ménkǒu , zaì chéng mén dòng , dàshēng shuō ,
3 beside the gate leading into the city, at the entrance, she cries aloud:
4 Zhòngrén nǎ , wǒ hūjiào nǐmen . wǒ xiàng shìrén fà shēng ,
4 “To you, O people, I call out; I raise my voice to all mankind.
5 Shuō , yúmeì rén nǎ , nǐmen yào huì wù líng míng . yúmeì rén nǎ , nǐmen dāngxīn lǐ míngbai .
5 You who are simple, gain prudence; you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.
6 Nǐmen dāng tīng , yīn wǒ yào shuō jí mĕi de huà . wǒ zhāng zuǐyào lún zhèngzhí de shì .
6 Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right.
7 Wǒde kǒu yào fāchū zhēnlǐ . wǒde zuǐzēngwù xiéè .
7 My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness.
8 Wǒ kǒu zhōng de yányǔ , dōu shì gōngyì , bìng wú wānqū guāi pì .
8 All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse.
9 Yǒu cōngming de yǐwéi míngxiǎn , dé zhīshi de yǐwéi zhèngzhí .
9 To the discerning all of them are right; they are upright to those who have found knowledge.
10 Nǐmen dāng shòu wǒde jiàoxun , bù shòu bái yín . níng dé zhīshi , shēng guo huángjīn .
10 Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold,
11 Yīnwei zhìhuì bǐ zhēnzhū ( huò zuò hóngbǎoshí ) gèng mĕi . yīqiè kĕ xǐaì de , dōu bùzú yǔ bǐjiào .
11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.
12 Wǒ zhìhuì yǐ líng míng wèi jū suǒ , yòu xún dé zhīshi hé móu lüè .
12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.
13 Jìngwèi Yēhéhuá , zaìhu hèn è xiéè . nà jiāoào , kuáng wàng , bìng è dào , yǐjí guāi miù de kǒu , dōu wèi wǒ suǒ hèn è .
13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
14 Wǒ yǒu móu lüè , hé zhēn zhīshi . wǒ nǎi cōngming . wǒ yǒu nénglì .
14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have insight, I have power.
15 Dì wáng jiè wǒ zuò guó wèi . jūnwáng jiè wǒ déng gōngping .
15 By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just;
16 Wáng zǐ hé shǒulǐng , shìshang yīqiè de shĕnpàn guān , dōu shì jiè wǒ zhǎngquán .
16 by me princes govern, and nobles—all who rule on earth.
17 Aì wǒde , wǒ yĕ aì tā . kĕnqiè xúnqiú wǒde , bì xún dé jiàn .
17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
18 Fēngfù zūnróng zaì wǒ . héng jiǔ de cái bìng gōngyì yĕ zaì wǒ .
18 With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.
19 Wǒde guǒ shí shèng guo huángjīn . jiàng rú jīng jīn , wǒde chūchǎn chāo hū gāo yín .
19 My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.
20 Wǒ zaì gōngyì dào shang zǒu , zaì gōngping de lù shang zhōng xíng .
20 I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,
21 Shǐ aì wǒde chéngshòu huò cái , bìng chōngmǎn tāmende fǔ kù .
21 bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me and making their treasuries full.
22 Zaì Yēhéhuá zào huā de qǐtóu , zaì taì chū chuàngzào wànwù zhī xiān , jiù yǒu le wǒ .
22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works,before his deeds of old;
23 Cóng gèn gǔ , cóng taì chū , wèi yǒu shìjiè yǐqián , wǒ yǐ beì lì .
23 I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be.
24 Méiyǒu shēn yuān , méiyǒu dà shuǐ de quányuán , wǒ yǐ shēng chū .
24 When there were no watery depths, I was given birth, when there were no springs overflowing with water;
25 Dà shān wèicéng diàn déng , xiǎo shān wèi yǒu zhī xiān , wǒ yǐ shēng chū .
25 before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth,
26 Yēhéhuá hái méiyǒu chuàngzào dàdì , hé tiānyĕ , bìng shìshang de tǔ zhì , wǒ yǐ shēng chū .
26 before he made the world or its fields or any of the dust of the earth.
27 Tā lì gāo tiān , wǒ zaì nàli . tā zaì yuān miàn de zhōuwéi , huá chū yuán quān ,
27 I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 Shang shǐ qióng cāng jiānyìng , xià shǐ yuānyuán wĕngù ,
28 when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 Wèi cāng hǎi déng chū jiè xiàn , shǐ shuǐ bù yuèguò tāde mìnglìng , lìdéng dàdì de gēnjī .
29 when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
30 Nàshí , wǒ zaì Tānàli wèi gōng shī , rì rì wèi tā suǒ xǐaì , chángcháng zaì tā miànqián yǒng yuè ,
30 Then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence,
31 Yǒng yuè zaì tā wéirén yùbeì kĕ zhù zhī dì , yĕ xǐyuè zhù zaì shìrén zhī jiān .
31 rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.
32 Zhòng zǐ a , xiànzaì yào tīng cóng wǒ . yīnwei jǐn shǒu wǒ dào de , biàn wèi yǒu fú .
32 “Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Yào tīng jiàoxun , jiù de zhìhuì , bùkĕ qìjué .
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it.
34 Tīng cóng wǒ , rì rì zaì wǒ ménkǒu yǎngwàng , zaì wǒ ménkuàng pángbiān dĕnghòu de , nà rén biàn wèi yǒu fú .
34 Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
35 Yīnwei xún dé wǒde , jiù xún dé shēngmìng , yĕ bì méng Yēhéhuá de ēnhuì .
35 For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD.
36 Dé zuì wǒde , què haì le zìjǐ de xìngméng . hèn è wǒde , dōu xǐaì sǐwáng .
36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.”
