Psalm 143:5-12

NLT 5 I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done. NIV 5 I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. NLT 6 I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude NIV 6 I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land. NLT 7 Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die. NIV 7 Answer me quickly, LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. NLT 8 Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. NIV 8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. NLT 9 Rescue me from my enemies, LORD ; I run to you to hide me. NIV 9 Rescue me from my enemies, LORD, for I hide myself in you. NLT 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. NIV 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. NLT 11 For the glory of your name, O LORD, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress. NIV 11 For your name’s sake, LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. NLT 12 In your unfailing love, silence all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. NIV 12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
