Salmos 19

1 Os céus declaram a glória de Deus;o firmamento proclama a obra das suas mãos.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Um dia fala disso a outro dia;uma noite o revela a outra noite.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

3 Sem discurso nem palavras,não se ouve a sua voz.

3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

4 Mas a sua voz ressoa por toda a terrae as suas palavras até os confins do mundo.Nos céus ele armou uma tenda para o sol,

4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

5 que é como um noivo que sai de seu aposentoe se lança em sua carreira com a alegria de um herói.

5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

6 Sai de uma extremidade dos céuse faz o seu trajeto até a outra;nada escapa ao seu calor.

6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.

7 A lei do SENHOR é perfeita e revigora a alma.Os testemunhos dosão dignos de confiançae tornam sábios os inexperientes.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

8 Os preceitos do SENHOR são justose dão alegria ao coração.Os mandamentos do SENHOR são límpidose trazem luz aos olhos.

8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

9 O temor do SENHOR é puroe dura para sempre.As ordenanças do SENHOR são verdadeiras,são todas elas justas.

9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.

10 São mais desejáveis do que o ouro,do que muito ouro puro;são mais doces do que o mel,do que as gotas do favo.

10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.

11 Por elas o teu servo é advertido;há grande recompensa em obedecer-lhes.

11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

12 Quem pode discernir os próprios erros?Absolve-me dos que desconheço!

12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.

13 Também guarda o teu servo dos pecados intencionais;que eles não me dominem!Então serei íntegro,inocente de grande transgressão.

13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.

14 Que as palavras da minha boca e a meditação do meu coraçãosejam agradáveis a ti,SENHOR, minha Rocha e meu Resgatador!

14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
