1 ( Dàwèi de shī ) búyào wèi zuò è de , xīnhuái bù píng , yĕ búyào xiàng nà xíng bú yì de , shēng chū jídù .

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 Yīnwei tāmen rú cǎo kuaì beì gē xià , yòu rú qīng caì kuaì yào kū gān .

for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Nǐ dāng yǐkào Yēhéhuá ér xíng shàn . zhù zaì dì shang , yǐ tāde xìnshí wèi liáng .

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Yòu yào yǐ Yēhéhuá wéi lè . tā jiù jiāng nǐ xīnli suǒ qiú de cìgĕi nǐ .

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Dāng jiāng nǐde shì jiāo tuō Yēhéhuá , bìng yǐkào tā , tā jiù bì chéngquán .

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
6 Tā yào shǐ nǐde gōngyì , rú guāng fāchū , shǐ nǐde gōngping , míng rú zhèng wǔ .

He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
7 Nǐ dāng mò rán yǐkào Yēhéhuá , naì xìng dĕnghòu tā . búyào yīn nà dàolù tōngdá de , hé nà è móu chéngjiù de , xīnhuái bú píng .

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Dāng zhǐ zhù nùqì , lí qì fèn nù . búyào xīnhuái bú píng , yǐzhì zuò è .

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 Yīnwei zuò è de , bì beì jiǎnchú . wéiyǒu dĕnghòu Yēhéhuá de , bì chéngshòu dì tǔ .

For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
10 Hái yǒu piànshí , è rén yào guīyú wú yǒu . nǐ jiù xì chá tāde zhù chù , yĕ yào guīyú wú yǒu .

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.
11 Dàn qiābēi rén bì chéngshòu dì tǔ , yǐ fēngshèng de píngān wéi lè .

But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.
12 È rén shè móu haì yì rén , yòu xiàng tā yǎo yá .

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them;
13 Zhǔ yào xiào tā , yīn jiàn tā shòu fá de rìzi jiāngyào lái dào .

but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.
14 È rén yǐjing gōng shang xián , dāo chū qiào , yào dǎdǎo kùnkǔ qióngfá de rén , yào shāhaì xíngdòng zhèngzhí de rén .

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.
15 Tāmende dāo , bì cī rù zìjǐ de xīn , tāmende gōng , bì beì zhē duàn .

But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.
16 Yī gĕ yì rén suǒyǒude suī shǎo , jiàng guo xǔduō è rén de fù yú .

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;
17 Yīnwei è rén de bǎngbì , bì beì zhē duàn . dàn Yēhéhuá shì fú chí yì rén .

for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
18 Yēhéhuá zhīdào wánquán rén de rìzi . tāmende chǎnyè , yào cún dào yǒngyuǎn .

The blameless spend their days under the LORD’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever.
19 Tāmen zaì jí nán de shíhou , bù zhì xiūkuì , zaì jīhuāng de rìzi , bì dé bǎozú .

In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.
20 È rén què yào mièwáng . Yēhéhuá de chóudí , yào xiàng yánggāo de zhīyóu . ( huò zu4 xiàng cǎodì de huámĕi ) tāmen yào xiāomiè , yào rú yān xiāomiè .

But the wicked will perish: Though the LORD’s enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.
21 È rén jiè huò ér bú chánghuán . yì rén què ēn dāi rén , bìngqiĕ shīshĕ .

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;
22 Méng Yēhéhuá cì fú de , bì chéngshòu dì tǔ . beì tā zhòuzǔ de , bì beì jiǎnchú .

those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed.
23 Yì rén de jiǎobù , beì Yēhéhuá lìdéng . tāde dàolù , Yēhéhuá yĕ xǐaì .

The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;
24 Tā suī shījiǎo , yĕ bù zhì quán shēn pú dǎo . yīnwei Yēhéhuá yòng shǒu chān fú tā . ( huò zuò chān fú tāde shǒu )

though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
25 Wǒ cóng qiánnián yòu , xiànzaì nián lǎo , què wèi jiàn guō yì rén beì qì . yĕ wèi jiàn guo tāde hòuyì tǎofàn .

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
26 Tā zhōng rì ēn dāi rén , jiè gĕi rén . tāde hòuyì yĕ méng fú .

They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be a blessing.
27 Nǐ dāng lí è xíng shàn , jiù kĕ yǒngyuǎn ān jū .

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.
28 Yīnwei Yēhéhuá xǐaì gōngping , bú piē qì tāde shèng mín . tāmen yǒng méng bǎoyòu . dàn è rén de hòuyì , bì beì jiǎnchú .

For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed ; the offspring of the wicked will perish.
29 Yì rén bì chéngshòu dì tǔ , yǒng jū qí shang .

The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.
30 Yì rén de kǒu tánlùn zhìhuì , tāde shétou jiǎng shuō gōngping .

The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.
31 Shén de lǜfǎ zaì tā xīnli . tāde jiǎo zǒng bú huá diē .

The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.
32 È rén kuītàn yì rén , xiǎng yào shā tā .

The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, intent on putting them to death;
33 Yēhéhuá bì bù piē tā zaì è rén shǒu zhōng , dāng shĕnpàn de shíhou , yĕ bù déng tāde zuì .

but the LORD will not leave them in the power of the wicked or let them be condemned when brought to trial.
34 Nǐ dāng dĕnghòu Yēhéhuá , zūnshǒu tāde dào , tā jiù táijǔ nǐ , shǐ nǐ chéngshòu dì tǔ . è rén beì jiǎnchú de shíhou , nǐ bì kànjian .

Hope in the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.
35 Wǒ jiàn guo è rén dà yǒu shìlì , hǎoxiàng yī gēn qīng cuì shù zaì bĕn tǔ shēng fā .

I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourishing like a luxuriant native tree,
36 Yǒu rén cóng nàli jīngguò , búliào , tā méiyǒu le . wǒ yĕ xúnzhǎo tā , què xún bù zhe .

but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found.
37 Nǐ yào xì chá nà wánquán rén , guānkàn nà zhèngzhí rén . yīnwei hépíng rén yǒu hǎo jiéjú .

Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace.
38 Zhìyú fàn fǎ de rén , bì yītóng mièjué . è rén zhōng bì jiǎnchú .

But all sinners will be destroyed; there will be no future for the wicked.
39 Dàn yì rén déjiù , shì yóuyú Yēhéhuá . tā zaì huànnàn shí zuò tāmende yíng zhaì .

The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
40 Yēhéhuá bāngzhu tāmen , jiĕ jiù tāmen . tā jiĕ jiù tāmen tuōlí è rén , bǎ tāmen jiù chūlai , yīnwei tāmen tóukào tā .

The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
