1 ( Kĕlā hòuyì de xùn huǐ shī , jiāo gĕi líng zhǎng ) shén a , wǒde xīn qiē mù nǐ , rú lù qiē mù xī shuǐ .

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 Wǒde xīn kĕ xiǎng shén , jiù shì yǒngshēng shén . wǒ jǐshí dé chaójiàn shén ne .

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
3 Wǒ zhòuyè yǐ yǎnleì dāng yǐnshí . rén bù zhù de duì wǒ shuō , nǐde shén zaì nàli ne .

My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
4 Wǒ cóng qián yǔ zhòngrén tóng wǎng , yòng huānhū chēngzàn de shēngyīn , lǐng tāmen dào shén de diàn lǐ , dàjiā shǒu jié . wǒ zhuī xiǎng zhèxie shì , wǒde xīn jíqí bēi shāng .

These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty Onewith shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.
5 Wǒde xīn nǎ , nǐ wèihé yōu mēn , wèihé zaì wǒ lǐmiàn fán zào . yīn dāng yǎngwàng shén . yīn tā xiào liǎn bāngzhu wǒ , wǒ hái yào chēngzàn tā .

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
6 Wǒde shén a , wǒde xīn zaì wǒ lǐmiàn yōu mēn . suǒyǐ wǒ cóng yuē dàn dì , cóng Hēimén lǐng , cóng mǐ sà shān , jìniàn nǐ .

My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.
9 Wǒ yào duì shén wǒde pánshí shuō , nǐ wèihé wàngjì wǒ ne . wǒ wèihé yīn chóudí de qīyē shícháng āitòng ne .

I say to God my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?”
10 Wǒde chóudí rǔmà wǒ , hǎoxiàng dǎ suì wǒde gútou , bù zhù de duì wǒ shuō , nǐde shén zaì nàli ne .

My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?”
11 Wǒde xīn nǎ , nǐ wèihé yōu mēn , wèihé zaì wǒ lǐmiàn fán zào . yīngdāng yǎngwàng shén . yīn wǒ hái yào chēngzàn tā . tā shì wǒ liǎn shang de guāngróng , ( yuánwén zuò bāngzhu ) , shì wǒde shén .
