Psalm 43

GNT 1 O God, declare me innocent, and defend my cause against the ungodly; deliver me from lying and evil people! NIV 1 Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked. GNT 2 You are my protector; why have you abandoned me? Why must I go on suffering from the cruelty of my enemies? NIV 2 You are God my stronghold. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy? GNT 3 Send your light and your truth; may they lead me and bring me back to Zion, your sacred hill, and to your Temple, where you live. NIV 3 Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell. GNT 4 Then I will go to your altar, O God; you are the source of my happiness. I will play my harp and sing praise to you, O God, my God. NIV 4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. GNT 5 Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my savior and my God. NIV 5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
