Salmos 63

1 Ó Deus, tu és o meu Deus,eu te busco intensamente;a minha alma tem sede de ti!Todo o meu ser anseia por ti,numa terra seca,exausta e sem água.

1 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

2 Quero contemplar-te no santuárioe avistar o teu poder e a tua glória.

2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

3 O teu amor é melhor do que a vida!Por isso os meus lábios te exaltarão.

3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

4 Enquanto eu viver te bendirei,e em teu nome levantarei as minhas mãos.

4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

5 A minha alma ficará satisfeita como quando tem rico banquete;com lábios jubilosos a minha boca te louvará.

5 I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

6 Quando me deito, lembro-me de ti;penso em ti durante as vigílias da noite.

6 On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.

7 Porque és a minha ajuda,canto de alegria à sombra das tuas asas.

7 Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

8 A minha alma apega-se a ti;a tua mão direita me sustém.

8 I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.

9 Aqueles, porém, que querem matar-me serão destruídos;descerão às profundezas da terra.

9 Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.

10 Serão entregues à espadae devorados por chacais.

10 They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.

11 Mas o rei se alegrará em Deus;todos os que juram pelo nome de Deus o louvarão,mas a boca dos mentirosos será tapada.

11 But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
